I've made myself a shoulder support for my canon XM2. I just wanted to make something realy fast and I ended up working about five hours on it.
As I was about to finish I had the ideea that adding the Pb battery (that usualy sits on my belt) that I use for the onboard light to the back of the support will result in better stability (it did). And than I figured I'd need a handle so I could take the support off without help of a second person. Than I realized that the support with the battery atached is a litle weak at the connection between aluminium plate (that goes over the shoulder) and the plastic pipe so I added a long screw.
I also need to buy two rubber covers for the handles in front.
So one thing led to another and I finished it at 12 o'clock last night!
I still have to give it some "look". Now it looks very homemade.
Well... it is homemade!
