THE FUGITIVE
« on: February 10, 2002, 04:36:00 AM »

Excellent and very suble use of the Stedicam.  It is not obvious and does

not intrude into the story.  To me it falls into what the device is--a tool.

A tool is precision made and attached to a human being.  One is no good without the other.

There are moments in "The Fugitive"--the hotel entrance toward the end with Tommy Lee Jones

crossing the lobby that is truly wonderful--or the last 5 minutes of the film, out the door into the ca r into a very moving scene between the main characters--and there seems to be no cuts even though

there are.  It's a geat tool.
