That was good, Vlad.  I remember when that song came out--I think I was around 23 and thought 64 was ancient. Guess what? IT IS!!!!  Oh well, we all go there. The important thing is we all stick together and have a Merry Christmas. My best to all HBS members. |

On a serious note, this is the time of the year when we wish each other well and offer hope for the New Year. We can forget there are other beings needing our love and concern. Needing to be taken care of and asking nothing in return. I urge anyone that can to take in an animal from a shelter, give it a home, and a life free of stress. My little cat is a constant comfort. He asks nothing but that I pet him, feed him, and let him sleep in the bed. For all he gives me, that is a small tradeoff. Guess I'm just a sentimetal old man, but I would rather be that than one who doesn't care. As Orson Welles once said "There is a contract between man and the animals--man gets the best of the deal." May you all have the best year of your lives. |

Here in Sweden the situation is different. There are no orphan cats or dogs roaming the streets. People here are very serious about their animals.

Thanks Charles. It may be awhile on the arm--my machist was closed down at Christmas and once he's done, then I have a lot of work to do. As Ringo Starr sang "It don't come easy".  |
