Charles I can always have these springs made, and in different sizes, should I leave this open or start a new one or put a permanent one somewhere else? Or you can lock it and if anyone reads this thread then they can contact me directly and we can go from there?

Got my springs today, thanks for getting them out so fast Carter!
Now I better get my parts (re)designed and start machining again.  No excuses now.

I was going to call you to make sure they arrived but I got distracted by the fact that I could put on my vest, my arm and my sled. SAWEET it flew for the first time today, knocked something over and hit me in the face, kind of.

Yes. I have two different sizes.
.25 Wire 1.6875" Diameter and 19 coils -- 19 coils is about 5"
.25 Wire 1.93" Diameter and 19 coils
I can cut the coils off if you need them smaller.

Sorry I haven't responded. I seem to go months between posts. I'm back to working on my rig, trying to get it optimum condition. And one thing I definitely need are springs, and possibly the plugs.

But here's a question.... would I be able to use the existing plugs that I have? My arm is the Cody II arm, built according to spec. I'm just looking to increase my capacity. If I can get away with the same plugs...cool. But if I need new plugs, I need 'em.

What do you suggest?

I have no idea you have to give me the specs on the springs you do have, but more than likely No.

I am building up a new rig that will use a 3A gimbal and I want to take advantage of this, so Carter what am I looking at in the way of springs if I am building a 3A arm copy? Any help appreciated. I am on my way to the arm section.

I would love to help, but you are talking about one of the hardest aspects of building your own arm figuring out what kind of spring it needed. I am by no means an expert or even amatuer, a couple of us worked on a general idea of what WE needed and I had them made. If you can give me the specs for what you need I can quote you on a price for them.

Talk to tom frish he made a whole bunch of calculators on how to figure out spring types.
