Hey Chris, Hehe yeah I also found a Hobby shop that sold bearings, really cheap too! Hope it's not too bad quality, time will tell. What was the cost for the bearings you use? It seems like the dimension of the balls would be quite a bit larger than mine. I have 10x6x3 mm. Now I will be gone for a couple of weeks, as my band will go on a short tour in the US = No time to build. If you live anywhere near Dallas, Texas, You should check us out www.myspace.com/plector

Ok, I've completed my vest, and the springs should arrive on thursday. The springs will cost me about 400 sek, about 40 euros. That is 3 springs with springplugs. Don't know if it's cheap or expensive, i thought it was ok. I just hope they'll work...
Here are some pics of the vest.

Hej Bjørn! Nice job! I also made couple of plastic locks on the belt with 2 Velcro belts, but it seems to me one behind is better: easier to pull and lock and to pull Velcro belts to the sides. BTW I've payed 800 SEK for my 2 rustfri springs with 2 plugs. (What firm You ordered them from?)

I don't know which is better, i've never used a stabilizer system before so it's going to be interesting to see how it works out I ordered my springs from http://www.lesjoforsab.com/ They were very kind and helped me finding the right spring. Let's hope the quality is OK!

Sorry Vladimir, don't understand really... Did you order from the same company? or maybe a missing link.
I went on a massive bolt-hunt today to find a suiting bolt for my spring adjustment. Was looking of a 6mm bolt with an allen-key head. None to find at any of the big stores! What the heck? Will try to find them on the internet instead...

Allright, now i'm playing around with springs. The first round I ordered was too weak, so they would only support the arm with the sled at the lightest config. It works though! but Now I've ordered some springs that are twice as strong (and twice as expensive) ). But I have some problems with the spring plugs I ordered with the springs. The springplugs for the weaker springs i bought were quite easy to put in, I just had to use a little force. So is not the case with the heavier springs. I compared the plug to the spring wire thickness and it doesn't seem to match... That's odd because it was the guy over at the spring shop that chose them for me, both the springs and the plugs. Is it supposed to be offset? Here's a pic

A company here in Sweden called Lesjöfors. It worked out just fine with the weaker springs......

I knew you got it from them because i got my springs from them as well. The plugs are made to fit the springs exactly. It xcs a little resistance to fit mine but thats the way it is purpose to be. Find out from the guy who ordered them that he asked for the right plugs to go with that spring. They only have a few plugs that will fit a few of their springs. Btw they are a good company, a little expensive but you get what you pay for..

Yeah, they are very helpful. I'll talk to them tomorrow to check if it's the right plugs. And if they maybe have some tips on how to screw them in. I'm planning on using the rig next weekend on a video shoot, got to get it working
