The Official Weight Cage thread
« on: March 16, 2009, 11:47:11 AM »

Thought would be nice to post some weight cages for those not aware of what they are or just would like to see how some are designed. There are several variations but all do pretty much the same thing...Add Weight.

Here's a link to the 4th cage that you can purchase from this link:

But this is the one I like: http://www.mk-v.com/?cat=172

Vladimir, is that a commercial low-mode bracket or did you build it yourself?

Another design thought. Again, if you're not interested in building, then you can get it from Baerbel for $564.

I took couple of old stand-lamp weights, grinded out sides...
...4 tubes from the same stand,1 door handle,  and 4 threaded bars with nuts finished the weight cage project.

Now my tiny HD palm cam acts like a big brother.   Price = 10-15 USD  + job time.

now that is very creative Vladimir. You never seize to amaze me. Smiley I hope you did not take those lamps from your home. Wink Otherwise the wife... Wink

Here is a practice weight camera type from MK-v. Cost around £7-£800:

Wish i spend this sum for real camera (mine is under 200 euro, stands are from trash can).
So. if derangement visited me and i bought it, the first thing i did after the treatment is committed suicide (before Julia executed me) Cry
