HI from australia...
« on: October 09, 2008, 03:52:52 AM »

Hello to all,

I live in Kingswood, an outer suburb of Sydney.I work as a Photojournalist for a local news publication. I've been interested
in the "Steadicam" phenomenon ever since i attended a Photo & video expo in the early 90's, and saw the steadicam junior and
of course seeing all the great steadicam shots at the movies.  Cheesy
Started experimenting with a monopod with lead weight on the bottom, then moved on to a hand held sled with a bearing gimbal,
(my arms get tired too quickly) then designed and made an ARM based on the Steadicam 3a arm which is where i'am today.
Amongst all of this i have shot a few UNI films and am now shooting a music video for a local artist.

So if there are any operators in the area drop me a line.

Cheers

Pete
