I have to admit, it looks very sexy. But i also see a lot of design i have seen before on other rigs. It almost looks like the  have made a rig from different brand components.
I would love to know if sdi/HD works, as its not an easy signal, and needs other approch on cable and connectors.

Let us know how the arm goes. Also take a close look if it twists under heavy load. Just to be sure, you never know.
But agian, very sexy look. Concrats

Care to tell how much that rig costs?

Well I havent put an hd camera yet, but when I get some free time I can take the rig to a friend with the F900 and see how it goes.
What kind of twist do you mean in what part?
I have gone up to 12-14 kilos camera weight and I didnt notice anything.
the bones are extructed alu and they dont look they can somehow have any flex.
the rists look a bit small and drilled out but I havent notoced anything bad....yet..
The F900 will take it up to its limits I suppost since its quite heavy and with cine lenses.I ll let you know.
it suppose to fly up to 16 kgr camera weight.
look at your mail you ve got a message Grin

I think you've already answered Job's question about if the arm or bones twisting or flexing under heavy loads. Oh and by the way, I bet that e-mail you sent Job was about the price, so if you don't mind could you also send me a PM too? Smiley

pivot to pivot 210mm.
bone is 62mm wide
wrists 75mm length 86mm height  50mm wide
wrists pivot to pivot  60mm.
section conector pivot to pivot 65mm.

I dont think there is a chance of the wrists to flex and that is for one reason. Though there arent any all the way axels from pivot tp oposite bearing pivot on the wrist, so the bones are conected there to the bearings seperatly, there are 2 shafts thet conect the one side of the wrist to the  other that the lifting mechanism is working so they also hold the wrist from side to side in 2 different places and it cannot flex.
Also the bones are extructed and look very strong to flex.

I think I should withdraw my remarks about Chinese knockoffs.  Based on the pics and Konstantinos expert commments, this looks to be a worthy rig.   Smiley  The world changes.

if something os patended it cant be the extracted bones.Extracted alu is used in thousants of applications .
But the adjusted mechanism can be as Job says.
but my opinion is that this is for companies to solve this problems.
also recently I saw glidecam went with a spring configuration design that I have brought in this forum many years ago..the old forum has 3ds of this design. I dont know if I was the first to think about it but it has been exposed here and itsbenefits had been discused as well,
Charles must remember that..
do I have to say that they copied this? just because it was a free idea?
adreas made this configuration as well years after.it has been exposed here as well.
did anyone asked about permition of this design? no no no.
we are going thru strainge times and  it doesnt matter if you patend something or not its about respect.
if big companie who make loads of bucks dont care why should the chinese care?
Another story
Once many years ago howard made rigs but no arm.I wrote him if he was interested in designs.
he said yes.
I have sent him this very design in cad.
HE ANWERED BACK HE CANT OPEN IT AND HE CAN ONLY ACCEPT IT ON PAPER.
I didnt bother .
After some time he came up with an arm same configuration only different structure, the rod type.
see what I mean, maybe it was a coincedence maybe not.
Glad it didnt work for him.
I dont want to get involved in this.
Iam just a guy who wants to buy things in logical prices.
And what I make I sell in logical prices too.
life is harder now.
And I am not a holywood star..
Now come to think about it I might as well give them that design.
maybe they come up with a better product. he he.

Thanks for the info and added pics. You are right about what you mentioned about the Glidecam arm connection mechanism. They did copy it from here. I knew about that the first time I saw the smooth shooter. Of course most manufactureers pass this way to get ideas. And it's free, and it makes it easy for anyone to take it and use it as their own. Oh well. But that makes me happy because our ideas are worthy of bi companies. Smiley
