Jerry Hill Docking Bracket
« on: August 17, 2008, 06:57:57 AM »

Hey Phil, was it you who got this docking bracket off of E-bay? I'm considering getting one. I tested it out a couple of years ago. I like it for it's ability to extend away from the balancing stand for when I do the spin balance.

I have one, but I didn't get it off E-Bay.  Haven't ever seen one there.  I got it directly from Jerry Hill.  It is a beauty!! Wink

probably worth mentioning that the docking bracket is $500 but that does not include the Gorelock or docking rings...quite a bit more for those.

I've been using it for years. On the odd occasion I have to use someone else's rig and it sort of shocks me how much effort is involved having to pull back and return the aircraft pin, or how insecure the rig sits in the dock (especially when mag or lens is removed and it tips to the side).

I was able to use the fork I already have--just make a 1 inch insert.  One of these days, I may get the Gorlock.
Yes, definately work the price, Charles. Smiley

I think I have one floating around but  here is one.  It is nothing more than a piece of 1 inch round aluminum 2 inches long with a hole drilled through it for a screw to hold the fork.  Seems to work pretty well.  But I'd sure like that Gorelock--new arm first. Wink
