I get another question here: how do you balance such thing as the glidecam 3000 pro and the 5000 pro? since you can't adjust the wheelbarrow bearing? here is the picture I own two of this and have no idea how do I balance or find the cg...let me know guy I appreciate your help...thanks james
Finding the CG of that sled is simply moving the weights and/or exending the post. If you want to be absolutely by the book, then you would first try to find the CG of the camera then mount it(CG) about 5mm from the center hole. But in your case that would require removing the top stage. Too combersome for me and I don't really think would really matter being a handheld. So just stick to finding the CG by moving the weights around first or moving the camera fore or aft to get the initial balance of the camera from tipping over. Then depending on the weight of the camera, you would probably need to extend the post, either the upper or lower post to move the CG away from the camera and/or base. This is more of trail error than anything else. I did like the approach of this type of system but that what happens when you buy low end hand models
This model you can also mount it with the arm and vest but I was confuse with the question I was asking...This model can extend longer in length but like i say that there is no gimbal locking bolt to be adjusted and the wheelbarrow bearing alway seat at that position on the sled. I can't adjust up or down.
