I've finally made my move : I bought a second hand V25 (mainly based on Charles review). It's my first stabilizer and I'm pretty thrilled about it. It all started 4 years ago when I read a post from a veteran Steadicam op about is career and experiences in the field. At the time I was doing 3d animations and VFX (and I guess I still am), and I began to think that their was a life outside my 10 x 6 cubicle.
So I started investing in camera and accessories, has an hobby. The goal was always (and still is) to learn as much as I could about movie production and more importantly, about Steadicam. I used my free time and money to invested more and more in my hobby. I'll eventually switch my hobby to my job, but for now, I'm happy with choices I made and I can't wait to learn even more about this great tool.

Hope your stay will be a fruitful one like it has been for all or most on HBS. So dig in. As for your question...I've made another post in the commercial rigs forum. So check there for a possible answer.
