The master arm is iso-elastic with 3 springs using the vertical adjustment design to adjust the tension of the arm. The arm uses 3 springs..one in the middle and two in the lower bone.

The 3A arm is one of the first Steadicam arms to handle an enormous amount of weight. Especially when they are upgraded with stronger springs..hence, the gold springs. The arm uses 3 parallel springs which are adjusted at the ends of the arms like the EFP arm. The 3A arm is not iso-elastic

The Actioncam uses 8 small springs across the bones like that of the Glidecam. arently this design is extremely effective and seem to be comparable to some. Adjustment is at the back of the arm, if I'm not mistaken.

But can you tell which one is the bets offer? secondhand master arm and new action arm is the same price.

Action Arm uses titanium springs, doesn't it?

I'm not thinking about the the 3A.

If I had to choose I would go for the 3A arm. As I mentioned, you can get a G50 arm for almost the same price of a 3A arm. But this is only if you upgrade to better springs and bearings, if I'm not mistaken. The 3A Arm seems to be a work horse, and I think one of the most used arm in the film industry.
