Hi Guys. I see that some of you are already aware we are going to be selling some equipment on eBay soon. I don't know what happened but we thought we had put a post on this forum back in December about the sale. I've got a print-out of it and everything but guess it got lost in cyberspace. So, our apologies to everybody in the group--we thought you were in the information loop. So, here goes Round 2: Over the Christmas break and in the month of January I have been preparing equipment for sale. The process took longer than I expected and I came to realize that we had gathered more equipment than I thought over the past decade. I have decided rather that put it up for sale on various forums, I will put it all on eBay. I have photographed most of the equipment and have a few more items to go. We will be selling traded-in equipment, excess stock, prototype pieces, stock being sold due to design changes, components machined to slightly incorrect tolerances, and redundant parts. Some equipment will be suitable for established operators, some for newcomers, and some for home built people Some of the items that will be for sale include: -Flycam arm -Flycam vest -Glidecam rig, complete -enlarged grip -standard arm post -5/8"-Master arm posts -old Model II base -centre posts -gimbal wrench -gimbal -dovetail plates -bearings -screws -arm bumpers -clamps -aircraft pins -BFD bracket -Preston brackets and more. I'll give you all a heads-up a few days before I start putting things up on eBay. Looks like it's time to pay off the old credit card~ You can say that again Phil But I'm curious about this Flycam system. Isn't it another system.

It is an Argentinian system. Doesn't look bad, but I have no idea how it performs.

Hey Guys,
The Flycam was a piece of equipment we received as a trade-in. I thought it was Brazilian so we'll split the difference and say South American. When I pulled it apart to service it I was quite impressed with how well made it was. I always thought Flycam was on a par with Glidecam but the Flycam is definitely a cut above. To actually have one in the hands was educational.

Sorry for the delay guys, this whole Ebay process has been more labour intensive than I expected. Also, we keep finding more things to sell. Because of the quantity of stuff, we plan to post the items on Ebay in several waves. I will keep you advised right here as the listing deadline approaches. Hi, Everyone. Here is the final update on the progress of our upcoming clearance on eBay. Given the large quantity of equipment we have to sell, we are planning to spread the start date of the auctions across many days. So, the first items will be posted in the evening of March 22, San Francisco time. We will put new equipment up for sale every day thereafter until it is all posted. Each auction will last for 10 days. BTW, it will be on eBay.com, not eBay.com.au. Regards, Hugo Langer Rig Engineering Australia P/L Melbourne, Australia admin@steadyrig.com
