Cable camera rig

Hi

Is that any one here who has some drawing of how to make an cabel camera rig. To get an similar result as in the snowboard film Elekrep (link below) or something almost similar.

because you not just want to let go or the camera on a cable as not are wellbuild.

Anyone who have an idea on how to make something like this?

The film had a limited time so it's now invalid. So we can't see it. Cable cam, do you mean something like skycam?

Its a swedish steadicam op who has a system called skyline..I'm afraid its all in swedish but you can see the pics. I've seen other pics and its basically  a harness which runs on a roller system which runs on a wire between posts.Obviously his system is very sophisticated and  its controllable and repeatable but its an idea..just be careful...

I saw the video a while ago, and from what I can remember, the version they used in elekrep was a simple one.   It was just a cable that they tied of from the place where they were filming and the camera in a underslung mount.  You can find a lot of info on this on the DVX user forum:

if you want a good safe and already made harness you can try a hang glider harness. they have hooks ready made on them too.
