I remember seeing pictures of a dual arm smooth shooter some time ago .. Im shure it was on this forum some place ?
Has anyone any more pics or info if Glidecam are going to start making them with dual arms .. I know you can buy two and join the arm together but this would involve machining parts..?

You definately saw it here Jamie but unfortunately I had to remove it due to unofficial issue with glidecam. The guy who took the pic hadn't gotten Glidecam permission and therefore was not meant to be made public...yet. Now, off the record I can only say this...If you build it, it will come.

Hello Fellas,
If a creative person was to take two arms and create a dual action arm I bet that wouldn't be to hard to do. Does anyone have any images of this process and maybe even some tips.
Thanks, Frederick

Welcome to HBS. Are you referring to any particular arm? To answer your question, yes it would work but you have to take certan issues into account first. Again, are you talking commercial arms or HB?

Ahh yes I was talking about using two "smooth shooter" arms. I was imagining the images Jamie Glover was talking about from the first post. I think if a person not related to GlideCam fused two smooth shooter arms into one dual action arm them selves and they wanted to post some images and tips on how to do such a thing that would be helpful. Aloha, Frederick

Fred, it has already been done but it will not be posted until Glidecam releases it officially. I had already mentioned this if you had read my post above

I'm hip,
I was simply saying if a person not related to Glidecam did this then I personally don't see the harm in that... If a person took pictures (while visiting a company) of a product not released then that makes sense why we would not see it here..... however I do realize its best to be in good standing with external companies including ones that offer an item that one may want to alter.
I mean no disrespect and enjoy reading the post.
Also I'm pleased to hear they will be releasing? or consider releasing? this dual action arm.
Aloha Frederick

A person, who did not work for Glidecam, did post some pics here and I had to move it because they did not give the go ahead. Also, that made Glidecam a bit upset. That's what I was trying to say. The dual arm option should have been included with the smooth shooter in the first place.

I totally agree... dual action arm should have been included and I would speculate they had tons of emails from people requesting this option.
Now that the Flyer has increased the price to over 6k (not to long ago) and the v-25 comes in at nearly 10k there is a good size market open for a low cost dual action arm system. Perfect time for Glidecam to fill the spot.

...and not only that. Now that Steadicam has come out with their new dual arm for the Merlin, they simply had no choice.
