NAB 2007
« on: December 25, 2006, 02:53:42 PM »

Alright everyone....

Those who went last year remember what a blast it was.

Well...I've already started thinking about it. I'm already planning my trip. In fact, I'm already reserving my vacation days at work, getting air-fare, and looking at hotels. I'm even looking at renting a couple Segway's for my business partner and I to ride around on through the exhibit hall.

By the way, this may be a little early, but if anyone knows the location or link to a free VIP pass code, members who are going, and who will be visiting this thread will appreciate it!

I am planning on attending.

I haven't made any reservations yet, but it really is a good idea to get started early. I think a hotel room reservation is probabaly in the works for me soon.

I'm sure VIP codes will become available online as we near the show.

Is it still held in Las Vegas? What are the accomodations like?

Yes NAB is in Vegas again.

Accomodations are ok.  .. not really that great by European standards (still good though), but the prices are about half of those in Europe too.  Smiley

Book as early as you can! The best places sell out fast.

I am so there! I don't know why I ever wandered away from the Tiffen booth this past year. I plan on spending all my time there this next year, figuring out what rig to buy.

Mikko, what hotel are you booking? My wife may not come after all, so if you want to split a room, let me know.

Mikko,

I was there last year. The "Accomodations are ok" in Las Vegas you say?
Check out The Venetian where I stayed my friend. At $1000 a night
I'm sure you would find it meets or exceeds your "European standards."  Grin

A grand a night?  Shocked  Why are you on HBS??

Yeah, I was referign to the cheaper scale, I shoudl have specified.
With hotels the American "Good enough" and the European "Good Enough" rooms are somewhat different. Then again, a hotel is a hotel and a bed's a bed.

Alan, my Girlfriend may be coming with me, but it's looking prety unlinkly. I'm totally game for sharing a room. I haven't looked at hotels yet. I'll catch you on MSN, lets talk.

Also, I got a Pre-registration VIP code in the mail the other day (as a previous atendee). I can send out a couple of invite codes to others when I register. If you (seriously) want one now, let me know.

Greetings all!

I thought this topic needed to get bumped to the top. Are we going to plan some sort of gathering of the HBS people? It is definitely a cool idea!

For those who don't know, I am the Forum Admin for Redrock Microsystems. They called the last weekend, and ask if I would like to go to NAB. Of course, I said yes! So if you want to find me, I will probably be at the Redrock booth. It would definitely be nice to meet some HBS people while I'm there!

Edit: I was trying out some voice dictation software and forgot to edit. Embarrassed All better now!
