I did a shoot last week for a documentary about underwater hockey. Yes, that's right. Hockey, played underwater. I was in low-mode almost the entire time, walking around the pool, zoomed in across the surface of the water, trying not to trip over a flipper or fall in the pool with 35 pounds of equipment. It was fun! Maybe a bit frustrating, not being able to see more going on under the surface.
Under water hockey? Now that I've never heard off before.
Me too. But haveing heard of underwater (european) football and underwater rugby (or it was basketball?), is not a surprise hearing of underwater hockey.
Here are clips from this last weekend, when they had the big tournament. I wasn't in low-mode the whole time (just for a few shots) so it made things much less tiring. The HVX does not record sound when doing slow-mo.
Underwater Hockey (Please forgive the lapse in framing at 0:55, I was trying to avoid running into those two guys. All other mistakes are up for discussion.)
