We should note  the passing of a unique figure.  A man who had great success and great failure.  A great independant film-maker
who could not fit the corporate way of making films--so he did them his way, good and bad.  We need more like that.

Amen! I admire him most because he was an independent artist, who chose to make movies in his own way.
