Since I'm the one that started this confusion let me explain why. Just to set the record straight guys, for all those that think when I suggested to Tim that he should re-consider is because I believe that no one should take advantage of HBS members(or anyone for that mater) good gesture. One thing I hate is for someone to come here and see something that could benefit himself; and know that the item may have gone through an extensive work over, but decides to disregard the fact that it is someone's else hard work. I know HBS is about doing the best amount of work for less. But you must not take advantage when you know that blood and sweat was not yours to begin with, in the first place. That's why I suggested he should up the price. Tim is always too kind to help others, regardless of the fact of this item. So I feel it is in all honesty that he gets what he deserves. The right price for the right type of job. Maybe I should have waited to see if anyone would make a remark about it but I decided to make that known from the very beginning. This site is about helping and sharing with others to the best of out ability but you must also in return dish out to help others and most of all be fair. I know you all agree with me.

Yes I agree with Charles. So that's why i did said he should make a suitable price that make him and us happy. Secondly we can play lotto game for whom would like his arm with that price, so that would be fair for everyone here. At the end everyone is happy, cause we won't do fighting ( ) for the arm, the one has the arm is happy cause it's a good price. Tim is happy cause he got good money which is more than he did expect.

Reserve or no Reserve
Speaking of being fair, I think e-bay would make it more interesting and Tim could quite possibly get more money for the arm in that more people would see it.
Everyone on HBS should know about it by now and they would be able to bid along with the rest of the world. Not wanting to offend anyone on HBS that wants to keep it (in house).
It would be interesting to see after the auction, if Tim would share it, just how many people bid and how much and at what interval. Just a thought.

Regardless of what everyone thinks, Tim has the final decision. Whatever he sees fit to do, so be it.

HI,
I have determined that the last day and hour for this bidding is at Friday, October 20th at 12:00 p.m. (noon) San Diego time.
I do not want to put in onto Ebay because I want someone in the HBS 'membership' to win it.
Notice: Anyone interested in bidding should have in mind that it will cost substancially to have it shipped out of the U.S. Do not quote me on this, but I estimate approx. $50.00 to ship within the U.S.
This is a nice arm (especially for the novice), it will bring joy to the one that gets it. BUT again as I mentioned in the above description when we first started this, it WILL need work to get it usable.
So, with that said, you all have until the 20th of October.

Well done Tim. I'm glad you're keeping it here. You could have done whatever you want with it but you decided to give the novice HBS members a chance at something. Thank you. Whatever you dish out you will get back in tenths folds You have a good heart and this is something that makes HBS shine.
