Hi everyone,
THE FUTURE
Recently we sold the last of our assembled Silver Spring arms. We are currently manufacturing a new batch of 50 arms that will become available within 6 to 9 weeks.
There will be a substantial discount on our current price for those customers who order a new arm prior to 15th September 2008.
Unfortunately there must be a price rise with the new arms caused by the increased costs we are all experiencing.
At the moment we have one demo Steadyrig ‘Silver Spring’ arm available to fly, this arm is currently in the United States.
We have attached some photos here of the ‘work in progress’ of the new batch of arms.
THE PAST
I would like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who showed me consideration during the last 18 months when I had some personal matters that took me away from the business for a while. I was still here for the most urgent of sales and support issues, but for the most part the business was idling.
For those of you who were not aware, last year my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease which progressed quickly and she required full time care up until her death from cancer. A considerable amount of my time was needed during her treatment, and then after her passing, to finalise her personal matters.
I have also had to devote my time to my wife Elizabeth who was diagnosed with breast cancer late last year. Elizabeth has had surgery and has now completed her chemo and radiation treatments. All of the doctors involved in her treatment are very happy with her progress and for now it is back to a ‘normal’ life.
This means that Steadyrig is now operating fully and we will be here to answer all your questions and attend to all your needs.
Thank you again for all your interest, patience and support in the past.
Regards, Hugo.

I had some dealings with Hugo when I won a couple of small pieces on Steadyrig's E-Bay auction. The pieces came with a handwritten note and thanks. Truly a class operation. My condolences on the hard times and I'm glad things are looking brighter. Those photos make me drool!

Hi everyone,
I know some operators have been waiting for the Battery hangers.
We are in the final stages of manufacturing, the parts are currently with the laser engraver and this is the last stage prior to assembly of the complete unit.
I have attached some early pictures below...

Currently the price is US$2950 plus shipping at some point in the near future we will be reverting to the catalog price of US$3450 plus shipping. Shipping is a standard US$145 to any destination. This price is for an Anton Bauer configuration, if you require Sony V-Lock instead we can accommodate you with an optional configuration. We also have brackets to suit Mk-V and EFP. Please contact us directly for a price on any of these options. Regards, Hugo. Steadyrig P/L admin@steadyrig.com

We have had a number of inquiries about battery hangers suitable for Sony V-lock batteries. Originally we designed two separate battery hangers one being dedicated to Anton Bauer batteries and the second for the Sony. We at Steadyrig, endeavour to create equipment that is both modular and versatile, so our final design is for a battery hanger that can be configured for either battery system.
What follows here is a description of how the system works...
The new Steadyrig battery hanger can accommodate either Anton Bauer batteries or Sony V-Lock batteries.
The Steadyrig Battery Hanger in its standard configuration is equipped to receive Anton Bauer batteries but on request Sony V-Lock receiver plates can be fitted instead.
The Sony V-Lock battery receiver plate has very different dimensions and fixing points to the Anton Bauer receiver plates. Because the plate mounting holes on the Battery Hanger are positioned to accept Anton Bauer receiver plates, it was necessary to design an ‘intermediate’ plate to fit between the mounting holes on the battery hanger and the Sony receiver plate. The ‘intermediate’ plate is only 6 millimetres thick is anodised black and is virtually unnoticeable.
The ‘intermediate’ plate is only required when the Battery Hanger is set up for Sony V-Lock batteries.
The ‘intermediate’ plate and Sony V-Lock plates use the same mounting screws, and the tool supplied by Steadyrig with each purchase will ensure that operators are capable of being self sufficient.
When a customer orders a Steadyrig Battery Hanger they will need to specify either Anton Bauer or Sony V-Lock. When delivered, the Battery Hanger will be fitted with either Anton Bauer receiver plates - or - ‘intermediate’ and Sony V-Lock plates.
Where an existing user of the Steadyrig Battery Hanger wishes to change (temporarily or permanently) from one battery system to the other the alternate plates can be purchased from Steadyrig.
Using the supplied tool the operator can change between Anton Bauer and Sony V-Lock batteries in as little as five minutes. The changeover process is as simple as unscrewing the current battery receiver plate, disconnecting the power connection (Anton Bauer standard Hirose) mounting - or removing - the ‘intermediate’ plate and then mounting the new battery receiver plate.
I have attached an image showing an Anton Bauer an Intermediate and a Sony V-Lock plate
