Broken links under "Tips".
« on: January 31, 2006, 02:08:41 AM »

Hi Charles,

I just wanted to let you know that the follwing links are broken:

"A Glidecam-look-a-like Hand held stabilizer plan"

"Track and dolly plans"

"Camera jib arm plans"

I think the "Friday Night Productions" guys have removed the files

Cry

edit:

The following is also broken:

"Build your own camera boom"

I couldn't find the files so I've uploaded the ones I saved on my computer. But if those have any questions concerning the plans please let them know. Their link is also in the tips section. So the links are working again.

Excellent!

Say, I'm having a problem. At work I can view all the pics on the http://www.homebuiltstabilizers.com/ page, but at home, some of the pics (links) aren't being shown. The jib page only has 3 links for example. I've tried everything (security wise) to get the links to show up to no avail. Any idea on what could be happening?

Alan,

The Pics and stuff don't show up probably because you are not "Logged in" at home. Make sure at the top of the page on the last tab it says, "Log Out." This means you are Logged In. If it says, "Log In" it means you need to log in. This should solve your problem.

Michael, the homepage doesn't have a login. Only the board does.

Aaron, what browser are you using? May I suggest you make a change to Firefox? http://getfirefox.com
It's more secure than Internet Explorer, and is faster and more reliable to boot. Try it out. Smiley

Alan,

I am talking about this board. In other words at the top of this page . Changing your browser will not be necessary.

Michael, I was referring to the page where all the rigs are, not here. Wink

Charles, the links are fine. They work fine for me at work, just not at home. I'm sure that the problem is on my end, I just don't know where yet!

Tom, I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the tip!

Update: Installed Firefox, now I can see the links again! Wink

I would really hate Microsoft if I didn't earn my living with their products!  Shocked Grin

Didn't quite get that Charles.

I don't know why they weren't working at home. Really weird.

A simple typo error, that's all. It should have read: 'Great to hear that '
