YES!

This is the best of news! I started looking at stabilizers in October. I found homestabilizers.com near the end of November, about a week after Cody stopped selling them. Despair came upon me. I lamented not finding the site earlier. A darkness fell across the land...

Now they're back! These fit my needs perfectly! Like Cody, I'm from the "hammer it till it fits" school of construction. This kind of tinkering is one of my hobbies. Looks like fun ahead!

As soon as I get my copy, which I ordered minutes ago, I'll post a quick review. I wouldn't worry about the B&W images too much Cody. I printed the gimbal pages in B&W, and they looked great!

Much luck and success without the headaches.

Brett

Wow, thanks for the excitement everyone.  I am still amazed at how well-received my plans have been.  I am very fortunate.  I want to thank Elliott and Charles for the great ideas and motivation to get my work back out in the open.  A set-up and operation video may be in the works soon thanks to the kind advice of our own Sir Elliott - what a great idea.  Hang in there, buddy - you're as strong as anyone!

Istya had also mentioned CafePress a while back.  At that time, publishing was not on my mind because I was dealing with other matters, and I forgot to check out the suggestion.  I just wanted to thank everyone who gave me encouragement and offers of assistance to get the plans back out there.

Now on to other matters...

I got my plans from CafePress yesterday via UPS. As promised, here is my brief review.

WOW! Nice cover, good paperstock, excellent wire binding. All images and drawings are clear and sharp, and detail is excellent.

So, now you know it's pretty. The content is also first rate. Detailed instructions accompany the diagrams. Tool and parts lists for every section of the project. The sections are laid out in a logical order starting with the parts you'd want finished first (the sled and gimbal), and ending with not one but TWO vest designs (a front and back mount). Also included are balancing instructions and safety tips to keep one's back intact.

All in all, an excellent read and first class job! I look forward to starting mine ASAP! Thanks Cody for all you've done (and continue doing)!

Wow, great review Brett.  Thank you so much.  I was thinking about ordering a copy myself to see what they look like because I was worried the quality would be questionable, but I am happy you are satisfied.

Good luck building":D"

Does Cody Deegan still sell his stabilizer plans? I don't see anything here on how to purchase them, and though I filled in the inquiry form in his website I got no reply.

Well, if you look at the top of the right hand side of this forum then you will see the option 'HBS book' on sale. Wink It's been there the whole time. Smiley

Thank Charles.

Is Cody or someone else providing support to purchasers of his books,  or is that role played by the contributors in the section of the forum you've devoted to the topic?

Here is the support channel for these plans. Cody has gotten out of the video business altogether for now. Ask your questions in these forums.
