Varrizoom (StealthZoom) LANC -- Free (Sort of)
« on: January 28, 2006, 12:05:14 PM »

Special to HBS Users

The StealthZoom by Varizoom which I bought 4 years ago has been acting up.  I don't always get a clean, smooth zoom.  I believe it may be the cable because if I readjust the cable near the main body, it works.

I've since purchased a really nice Bogen/Manfrotto 521PRO LANC and love it immensely.

So, I decided to let my Varizoom LANC go for the shipping and handling it will take to get it to you. (Shipping is from Virginia, USA)

The cable is about 40 inches long.  The two posts are a little longer than 1 inch.

First come. First serve.  No refund.

Brad

I could have said any HBS user having 1000 or more messages on the board.  Looks like you just passed that mark.  I'll remember that condition for next time.

Sorry cosmin. I will share the love with HBS members next time I have items that I no longer need.

Drum roll ... [to the tune of Vicky Sue Robinson's song "Turn the beat around" -- With the rat, tat, tat, tat, tat, tat on the drum.  (Anyone remember that tune from the '80s?)] ...

Justin's free cost is:  $3.03.

Brad, I received the Varizoom today. The wires inside were worn where they exited the body (as wires tend to be). Anyway, I cut out the bad spot and spliced the wires together. A little electrician’s tape later, it works like a champ. You are the man! Thanks for your generosity. Good luck with your new Bogen.

P.S. I mailed the check yesterday.

Thanks again,  Smiley

Justin,

I'm glad it works better.  I know that it must have been difficult getting access to those wires and then repairing them.  Several hours work I'm sure. Cool

Although the Varrizom worked okay, I really enjoy my new Manfrotto/Bogen 521Pro LANC.  It is so smooth.

Like they say in the Mazda commercials:  "zoom, zoom, zoom".

Enjoy,
Brad
