I'll be going and Frank Rush has informed me that he might want me to help demonstrate the FLYER for Tiffin at one of the booths so please stop by and say hello. I will be happy to show ANY HBS member how to strap it on and go flying. Smiley

MS

I am looking forward to meeting you guys face to face. It should be a great time for all!

Mikko,

All sarcasm aside, I don't think they will let just anybody who walks up to the booth actually put a rig on. I guess it's the $4000-$10,000 camera siting on the top stage they're worried about as well as the rig itself.

One time my 4-10 thousand dollar camera came crashing down.

Michael Smiley

That's how I tried it the first time.
And I must have suited up almost a dozen people in a rig for the first time at IBC last year. (Not counting the Merlin)

Either way, I encourage one and all who can attend NAB (or any other tradeshow) to attend and try out as much gear as possible! Smiley

Mikko,

I couldn't agree more. However Mikko you are Steadicam savvy. It's very easy to realize that you can handle a rig. But it's a very small community we are in. NAB in Las Vegas is much larger than IBC and they don't let just anyone put it on. Believe me. Besides Americans can be very impetuous.  Smiley

Phil, it will be an honor to meet you in person sir.

Mikko, I wasn't refering to myself there. I was talking about the "The smell of the grease paint and the roar of the audience." Your too young to know about that one, right Phil? Smiley

Joe, sorry about your camera. What happened to the DE love you said you were gonna give me?

Well it's not 100% certain yet, as we are still working out the details, but it does look like I will probably be attending NAB too.
Which means that at least Michael should be seeling lots of me Smiley  - Yeah I know you where generalizing, I was too.

If I go, it will be for the whole week of the show. I'd love to meet up with as many of you all as possible. Smiley

Michael, demonstrating the Flyer! Sounds like a good gig! I'll be there. I'll bring several disguises, so I can hop right back in line and give it another go.

Alan,

I don't think that will be necessary my friend. Did you see the new Steadicam workshop comming up in March? Here's your chance to take the two day seminar once again. I will be there too buddy and we can go out later after the workshop ends at 5:30pm and talk about the upcoming NAB convention in April 22-27. Oh what fun it is to use the Flyer!

I would love to, not sure I could swing it with "the boss". Frank told me there would be a Flyer workshop in Denver (that's where I am), but I haven't seen anything posted on the Tiffen site.
