mini spirit levels for rig
« on: December 30, 2005, 05:50:47 PM »

Hi guys,

Anyone here use a small spirit level on thier rig to balance or is this overkill. I was thinking of getting a couple and putting them on the platform for precision balance, is this wise?

Cheers Greg C.

Greg, this is standard practice. By all means go for it!

Most pro rigs have electronic bubles built into them that display on the monitor for use while operating.

Many operators (including myself) also have a small bubble level or two (for example a 'line level') as part of their standard kit to use while balancing to confirm level.
