Well it's 7:30 AM Monday Cyclone Larry (Catagory 5) has crossed the coast north of us (about 2 hours by road) we survived although a large clean up is in order.

Norbert, how did you fair...?

Thanks Justin, now to find out how Norbert came through, the Cyclone crossed maybe 1/2hours by road south of him, they have had a lot of rain in the last week or so, and this to add to it.

Wind gusts were to 290 Kph, we are getting reports of roofs off houses, and a pub, no report of injurys yet, most locals are pretty used to these conditions, it's the tourists (and the media) that aren't...

Been there, done that, lost my t-shirt. Last season we had the dynamic duo of Francis & Jeanne mess up up pretty good. Stay safe Trevor and all you folks down under.

Thanks Kevin, we can only wait and hope. The last one 'Larry' was the most powerful to hit the coast of Queensland, more power that 'Tracy' that devistated Darwin some years back, luckily it crossed through a small community, distroyed 1/2 the houses, most of this years crops, no lives lost, no major injuries... now we watch as yet another looms down on us...

These storms are being made worse by global warming.

Cody: Amen.

On the up side: it's scooter-riding weather! Woohoo! I thought I could brave the Colorado cold on my scooter, but that did not come to pass. Now it's warm enough to see the world on two wheels.

Not a cloud in te sky today....

I wanted to go out and fix my backyard fence that had blown over in the last round of spring storms, but I've been out of commission with a migraine. I'm feeling better now....but now the sun's gone down, dangit!

Fall time here in the south (of the world).
Bored weather in the center of Argentina. One rainy day, three or four sunny. Never a Tornado, never a ciclon, never a snow storm. No excitement at all.
