I'll be posting up some video clips and pics of my DIY stabilizer asap ..

Im working on a 15 ft crane for my VZ MC100 Pan and Tilt Head but I may have to go for 12ft if I cant sort out the bounce..

Jamie, what do you think of the varizoom head, I'm thinking of buying this later in the year, I've been trying to find out how fast it is but no one seems to be able to tell me so you might be my saviour Cheesy How fast does it do a 360?

You will not be disappointed with that head it is very smooth

As for speed as long as the camera is balanced and at full speed on the controler your looking at about 5 seconds for a 360 but you can change the cog size and go faster but I fined that is fast enough. But whack down the speed and you can get your camera moving so slow you can hardlay see it move..

Ill have to post up some video clips .

Also VariZoom says it takes cameras up to 30lbs max when in fact it can take more than that.

The only thing I can fault it on is the mounting plate for the camera has no rubber or cork pad and your camera if heavy can slip on the powder coated surface but its easily sorted with a off cut of rubber car mat..

Oh and dont bother with the lcd screen thay sell its crap we have sent ours back ,just pick up a £40 car head rest LCD monitor on ebay

Excellent, thanks for that Jamie, some clips would be cool. How do you power the head?
