The issue remains that Leigh is using this thread to sell a rig which is unproven.  And unseen.  No more posts.

Hi Phil,

I have not tried to sell my rig in this thread. I just want to know how much the end customer willing to pay. Just do some market research. I have not modified any of my post, so you can verify what I said.  I am glad that this forum logs modification changed time. I have not contacted the poster privately to offer him to buy my rig.

Regards
Leigh

I also did not see any 'sales' pitch, sorry. what I did see was a rant, and a link to the front page of another forum, for whatever this was meant to be.

Actually Trevor,
I wasn’t trying to rant, and like Leigh I’m also interested as to how much Eniola would be willing to pay.

I have aspirations to make and sell rigs. So I think his question is founded.

So Eniola,
How much would you be willing to pay?

No rant was suggested from your post Joe.

I wish you good luck and best wishes with your intended business interests.  Smiley

Leigh--I jumped to a conclusion and I should not have done that.  I can understand market research, but my view is you should figure out what it costs you to build and what profit you want.  I believe a good product will find it's customer if marketed carefully.  I certainly wish you luck and hope you find success.

The above link was not what I was refering to as Trevor so aptly points out. So without rant here is the link:

And here's another broken record in the making:

Leigh,

Speaking from a consumer's point of view, there's no way in hell that I would buy something without looking at it first. If you want to get people interested in your rig, you have to let them know what is unique about it. If there is nothing unique about it, why should we buy it versus something else? If I saw something comparable to yours, and it cost more, but they informed me on what was so cool about it, I would buy it, rather than a rig from someone who says their rig is "just the average" rig, and wants to keep every single thing about it a secret.

By not posting anything about your rig, you are saying that you don't trust us, which I find in a way, an insult in that...to the whole HBS group.

As others have said, maybe you shouldn't post anything here about your rig if you aren't prepared to back it up with pics and drawings.

You should know by now that this is a forum made up of people like you. There is  mutual trust, sort of an "unwritten law" ypu might say, between all of us, that an individuals idea will stay confidential and safe. We have all posted designs and ideas here, taking into account that anyone, even you, could be dishonest and claim smoeone elses idea as yours and make a profit off of it. We have trusted you...why don't you trust us?

I still fail to see what this has to do with THIS board.... LET IT GO

lets not bring a 'flame war' from one board to another... what can be achieved?

In business, the 'good' will survive, the not so good will not. *simple really*

Surely HBS members have greater things to talk about...!
