Cody's plans: User's tips and tricks

Hey all,

I've been sitting on Cody's original plans for a long while, with no money or time to build anything.  Luckily, one of my University lecturers has recently expressed interest in building one on the Uni's dime.

Could we compile a list of advice or notes contributed by people who've successfully built a 'cody rig'?  It would be greatly appreciated in order to avoid any waste of time or money (both of which are in short supply in my case).

For example, what are the strengths and weaknesses of the design, what should we be careful of when constructing it, and any other important information you have to share.

I've already emailed Cody, and I hope this thread is helpful for others.
