Actually for what you require the smoother seems like your best bet.  I tested it a couple of times and it operates pretty smooth. I've heard there are prune to torque under certain weights but it's nother to certain yourself about as long as you hold within the recommended weight range of the rig. I guess you do know that you have to buy the GC 4000 to be able to use the rig with the smooth shooter, right?

I think there are post in the is same forum about the shooter that you can read. There are also post at the DVinfo.net forum. So check out what others have to say then decide for yourself.

I believe I have located an entire unit for you. Looks like a great deal. If you don't mind buying from ebay.

If you decide to bid on either of these systems,
SNIPE
it. That means you wait til the last 10 -20 seconds before you place the maximum bid you would be willing to pay. By doing this you limit the time for any bidders from outbidding you.  That usually works for me but there is no garantee it will always work.

I got an email from Len Goldstein this morning - they shipped the rig to me today, even gave me a usps tracking number. Expected delivery in about 5 weeks.

Sorry - I just re-read the email. It will arrive next Wednesday (8/9/06). My mistake (I forgot that americans use a different date format than aussies - we use dd/mm/yy so 8/9/06 would be 5 weeks from now).

Cheers,

Chris

That is great news. Which one did you go with or did Magiqcam finally ship you the one you ordered?

They still have not sent my stand holder unit for balancing.  They are not returning emails, and the phone is no longer operational.  Something is goofy.
I have contacted my friends at US Postal Service Inspections (Federal Agents) and they are going to look into this scam.  I think it might give them a jolt to stop playing games.  They need to be upfront with people.
