Making Cody's arm, but want to make the tension adjustable?
« on: August 18, 2005, 11:23:51 AM »

I am using Cody's original design.
I have seen a few arms, where the bolt is attached in such a way that you can pull the tension of the spring with an L bracket or something simliar.

Like this :

'How well do these work? I would seem that the spring would pull it on an angle and thus making it hard to adjust, but I am just speculating at this point.  Any ideas?  Does anyone have a close up of such a solution?

Actually I think these would work well and not be difficult to adjust.  Even though the spring pulls at an angle, the bolt is pulling on a piece that is anchored, so the angle of the spring should not have any effect on the bolt's adjustment ability.
