"Signs" has some very nice cinematography in general, and some very low-profile (but nicely done) Steadicam work. There are some very clever camera tricks and editing techniques that really make the film interesting to watch. (Not sure how I feel about the totally superfluous final shot, however.)

No, I don't. This is a Hollywood flick that you can rent anywhere, I imagine. If you rent it just for the Steadicam work, you may be disappointed, because there are not that many Steadicam shots. But the ones that are there are very well done.

oh ok, actually i was looking through the site, to build my own stedicam.It was always a dream to own one such monster .I am new , and been reading all the posts for the last few days, Isnt this amizing that so amny people has really made it just reading books and gathering tips from other members in the forums.

Yes, it is incredible. I put many hours into mine, and I'm amazed at how I still need to improve it. Others have achieved amazing results.

I thought about making mine for about 10 years before I made a single part for it. I agree with Alan as soon as I finished it I wanted to make improvements. That and seeing a Pro rig up close and personal.
