O' "COLLAR" where art thou???
« on: March 31, 2004, 10:41:00 PM »

Ok guys, first off, PROPS to Cody for these AMAZING plans, the possibilities of attaining GREAT shots with this rig just makes me giddy like a 12 year old school girl.... well...maybe not to that extent... but i'm sure you all understand.

Well, it seems that i have come to a little road block in the project.  The Collar for the gimble... a small, yet quite important part.  As someone once said, "Fellow home builders of the world, lend me your.....'scraps'.  =)  Ok.. so maybe not lend, but if anyone does have extra piping for the collar i will pay you for the metal, shipping, and your trouble.  With all those combined i'm sure it will still be better then paying for the BLASTED 4 FOOT minimum. (one inch.. that's all... not 48''... just one. =)

Thank you in advance guys.

Gabriel

It is 1/4" x 2-1/2" ID x 1" aluminum pipe.

Yes that is correct.  I had originally found a pipe and simply cut off a 1" section from it.

I would also like a 1" length of that aluminum pipe,  Maybe a "classified" section could be created on the Home Built Stabilizers website or even on this forum?

I have an extra bearing (Cody specs)that I could trade/sell.
