Gimbal bearing source

Cody, others who built this sled.... could you guys tell me a good source for the pan bearing?  Is is something used for a car part?  Any help will be much appreciated. -Greg.

I called around locally and found a place. Look in the yellow pages under "Bearings". These are not terribly in demand. You should be able to find one. Good Luck! ":D"

If you can't find it locally you can try online and do a search for "bearings 1652". "1652" is the model I found with the right specs though there may be others.

second pic shows the part number. it's a SKF bearing

Thanks winggee007 - I purchased the bearing for $20 at a www.kamandirect.com

Their part number is 1652DTSN and is a radial ball bearing by SFK industries.

I like your pictures you posted.... great job and will be helpful.  Cody your drawings are great - like your book! -Greg.
